Parish church Ötting

The oldest church in Oberdrauburg is the parish church Ötting, which was in 1329 for the first time mentioned. It is dedicated to St. George.

The parish church was a typical fortified church in the possession of the Lords of Flaschberg. During the renovation of the Gothic church with choir and a triaxial ship 1945 wonderful Gothic frescoes were uncovered. These are a late Gothic statue of St. Catherine, as well as the Black Madonna in the side altar, which points to the close connection to the monastery Altöttings in Bavaria.
